Reason To Be Happy!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.
He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.'
There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by.
He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat.
He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up.
A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning?

What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.'
What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.

The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind.

Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom.
Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.
Face your past without regret.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.
Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.'

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Realizing Our Dreams!

It’s been 18 month since I enrolled into flying academy!

Ever since that a lot of my buddy out there most of them from my friendster who wanted to know what’s the requirement to be an airlines pilot… so since I got this blog thing why not I used it for other “pilot wannabe” to get info about how to get into airlines… let’s start!!

There are 3 types of pilot licenses. By obtaining a Private Pilot License (PPL) you can fly planes throughout Malaysia carrying passengers but without charging fees for your services. Here, you become a private pilot.

One can work for a commercial airline after obtaining Commercial Pilot License (CPL) – you are a commercial pilot. And finally, you can fly as a captain on a large aircraft with Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) – you are airline transport pilot. Pilots with CPL and ATPL are classified as professional pilots.

Sound Interesting??

Requirement!!

* Malaysian Student - SPM with 5 credits inclusive of English, Mathematics and one Science subject.
* Foreign Student - GCE 'O' level or equivalent with passes in similar subjects.
**Age - Minimum 18 years old (max 65!!)

And of course you health must be in tip top condition both physically and mentally in order for You to meet the First class aviation medical requirement!!

Worry of wearing glasses??

Hahaha, don’t worry too much, You can be an airlines pilot, No problem at all!!

Where can I enroll??

Asia Pacific Flight Training (APFT)

Malaysia Flying Academy (MFA)

HM Aerospace (HMA)

Integrated Training N Services (ITNS)

KL International Flying Academy (KLIFA)

Duration of this course??

Normally the academy promise you that you can graduate in 18 months!!
But from my experience it is NO LESS than 20 month it may be more depends on the serviceability of the aircraft, Weather and other thing that can delay your progress in the academy later!!

What Will I Learn @ The Academy??

Navigation / Meteorology / Air Law / Radio Telephony / Theory of Flight / Instrument / Engines / Airframe System / Loading / Performance A / Human Performance & Limitation / Radio Aids / Aircraft Electrics System

How Is The Life As A Trainee??

i'll tell u later

to be continue....

Impressionsss....

IMPRESSIONS OF A PILOT

Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;

To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;

To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;

Then back to earth at the end of a day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.

Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;

Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;

For each of us is created to die,
And within me I know,
I was born to fly.

Will Power!!!

What can I say about the video clip above??

HARDWORK!! Yeah that’s the right word for it!!

I’m impress with the main character, who is a girl born deaf and she got this dream to play violin!!

Sounds weird isn’t it?? but then nothing is impossible!

I was attracted towards the bait2 in the video clip, where this deaf girl asked the violin teacher “why am I different from others?”. And the teacher replied “ why do you have to be like others?”

I’m agree with the sifu >our self>our responsibility>our rights!!

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way”

P/S : Dream Realized for that gurl, after all its just a Pantene advertisement :-)

Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI)

Today I wanna Talk abou PAPI!!

PAPI provides the pilot with a safe and accurate glide slope on final approach to the runway. A row of PAPI light housing assemblies (LHA’s) placed perpendicular to the approach path are seen by the pilot in combinations of red and white to indicate a path that is too high, too low or correctly on slope.

This is an individual PAPI. Normally a set of PAPI lighting system consist of 4 sets on the left and right side of runaway (as u can see on the first picture).

So what the light tells the pilot??

4 reds = You are bloody too low!!

4 White's = You are high :-@

2 White & 2 Red = Great, You are maintaining the glide slope!

Talking about glide slope, reminds me to a quotes..

"The probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angel of arrival, large angle of arrival small probability of surviavl and vice versa!!"
